Spring break has always been a great time to spend a week outside and reset for the finishing months of the school year. Getting outside and connecting with peers is critical to our overall wellbeing. We offer spring break backpacking trips with an intentional awareness towards reconnecting with ourselves, our peers, and with the regenerating powers of nature. Our Spring Break programs take place at Henry W. Coe State Park, the Pt. Reyes National Seashore, or along the Yuba River. Henry W. Coe and Pt. Reyes are both within a 2-hour drive from the Bay Area, making it easier to slip away for a shorter trip. It's amazing to see how close we are to these amazing wild spaces! For the Yuba trip Fieldguides may be able to help with transportation, so don't let the logistics get in the way of a great adventure.

"My son loved the program and would love to do it again. We felt very safe about all the health precautions. Thank you so much. Being able to go on a group backpacking trip with other teens was especially important this year. The trip provided a tremendous boost to my son's self confidence and overall wellbeing. Can't tell you how glad I am that he was able to participate." -Parent, Summer 2020 |

Join us for an unforgettable 15-day adventure into the Northern California wilderness! Our hikes often start at one trailhead, and end miles away! We frequently hike in the amazing Klamath National Forest, where access to the Pacific Crest Trail provides an ideal entry into the area's pristine high-altitude lakes, unique limestone pinnacles and caves, and rich conifer forests, home to a number of endemic species. Trips in these unique wilderness areas with our experienced guides encourage participants to challenge themselves, build long lasting friendships, and create connections with the outdoors that will help them gain a stronger sense of self and a better understanding of the world they live in. Join our mailing list to stay up to date with all our program offerings!
