FIELDGUIDES INC. founded in 1983, is a small, non-profit, outdoor education organization operating from Southern Oregon to Northern and Central California. FIELDGUIDES works with schools and youth groups to provide custom outdoor learning experiences with an emphasis on wilderness immersion.

What makes our program special is our family-style camping format. As your fieldguides, we believe that an important part of the outdoor education experience is immersion - having children and chaperones sleep in tents, and cook and eat together in the great outdoors.

Our Past & Present
Leaders
Teachers choose FIELDGUIDES because we provide a safe, fun, and highly educational field trip experience relevant to what students are studying in the classroom. We strive to keep our groups small and intimate with an average fieldguide to student ratio of 1:10. Activities and chores are done by students, chaperones, and staff together in an atmosphere of cooperation and respect. We pride ourselves on our ability to provide our clients with a positive outdoor experience that the children will remember and treasure for a lifetime!
