This is our favorite page because not only does it offer another view on our program; but it lets us remember the number one reason that we do FIELDGUIDES, for all the amazing students, teachers, and chaperones who come to our programs. It is the connections we make with the individuals that make a FIELDGUIDES program so special. We want to thank all the students, teachers, and chaperones who send us their feedback and love. We love you too!

Scroll through our slideshows to get a look at some of the fantastic artwork and appreciation from our students and teachers.
Also check out below a gallery of Malakoff Diggins' finest fourth grade gold rush poetry.
One particular aspect that we think is so great about FIELDGUIDES' family style format is that it allows and encourages chaperones to be involved in their children's education and development. Not to mention it can be a whole lot of fun for the "big kids" too.

-"My son and I really had a great time. The program and the experience was not only informative but fun. I particularly enjoyed the panning, the "diggin's" themselves and the "solitude walk" to Blair Lake. I know the kids also enjoyed the food, the town and the sing-a-longs as well. Speaking of sing-a-longs, here are the promised additional (and long forgotten lyrics) lyrics to Clementine, as recalled from my 3rd grade songbook:
In a graveyard, in the canyon
where the myrtle doth entwine,
grow roses and other posies
fertilized by Clementine."

-Chaperone, 4th grade Malakoff program
