At FIELDGUIDES we stress these activities in concept and in practice, by not only explaining how humans can make negative and positive impacts through the use of alternate energy and proper waste management but by providing students with Service Learning opportunities such as a beach or forest clean-up where they can see their own hard work pay off for their community and their environment.

FIELDGUIDES has a strong belief in the importance of environmental stewardship. During our programs we foster a respect and understanding of nature that is gained through direct experience of the natural world. Our fieldguides present issues found in the world today and help students discover ideas on possible conservation efforts and sustainable practices that may help solve these issues. It is our goal that all participants in a FIELDGUIDES program leave with a greater sense of responsibility to our natural world and its resources.
