Introduction to the Outdoors: 6th Grade Program

Our 6th Grade Program focuses on teamwork and communication as well as introduces students to a few basic wilderness skills including fire building, knot tying, and tarp setting. During 6th grade the students will go on a three-day camping trip in the fall, followed up with a two-night backpacking trip in the spring.
Interpersonal Skills Focus: Communication, Team Building, Self-Awareness
Technical Skills Focus: Fire Building, Knot Tying, Tarp Setting 
Timeframe: 3-day Fall Camping Trip, 3-day Spring Backpacking Trip, One Day Classroom Session before Spring Trip
Location(s): Point Reyes, Big Sur, Henry Coe, Sierra Nevada, Trinity Alps,  and more!
Cost: Prices vary depending on number of participants,  transportation needs, trip length, and equipment rentals. Please contact us to get a specific quote.
